Job Development Overview

Our one-on-one support service helps individuals explore career interests, develop a plan for community integrated employment or self-employment, and acquire the necessary skills and supports for success. We offer activities like job exploration, shadowing, and assistive technology review.

Detailed Description

Providing one-on-one support for an individual to assist with obtaining desired community integrated employment. Transportation is included during the time in which this service is provided.

Job Development services may include but are not limited to:

Application completion assistance with the individual
Job Interviewing activities with the individual
Completion of job/task evaluation based upon individual's needs
Negotiation and education with employers of their role in promoting full inclusion for the individual they employ
Consultation with employer(s) on the use of assistive technology to promote greater independence for the individual in the workplace
Consultation and negotiation of work hours, wages, and earnings
